YouHypothesis is a platform for theoretical brainstorming and scientific micro-publishing. All content is user-generated, not peer-reviewed, and not vetted by any editorial board. Use the information at your own risk.

By accessing or using YouHypothesis, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

Eligibility. You must be at least 16 years old to post content. By posting, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Acceptable use. You agree not to use the platform to publish illegal content, harassment, hate speech, spam, malware, doxxing, or content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.

Account-less access. The platform does not require registration. Identity is tied to a locally generated Device ID. You are responsible for any activity originating from your device.

Suspension. We may remove content or block devices that violate these terms, without prior notice.

Only the English language is allowed. Spam, illegal content, harassment, or content that promotes harm will be removed.

Theories should be presented in good faith, with a clear hypothesis and a falsifiability statement. Misleading medical, legal, or financial advice is prohibited.

By posting on YouHypothesis, you grant the platform a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, distribute, and reproduce your content as part of the service.

All theories remain the intellectual property of their author and are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing others to share and adapt the work as long as the original source (YouHypothesis) and the author's Device ID are credited.

You represent that you own or have the right to publish any content you post and that it does not infringe on third-party rights.

Data controller. The data controller for YouHypothesis is the operator of the platform, contactable at info.youhypothesis@gmail.com.

What we collect. We do not collect personal data such as name, email address, or phone number. Your identity on the platform is tied to a Device ID stored locally in your browser. IP addresses may be processed temporarily for the legitimate interest of preventing abuse and voting fraud, and are not stored long-term in identifiable form.

Legal basis. Processing of essential local storage and short-lived technical data is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating a functional, abuse-free service.

Retention. Posts and votes are retained as long as the platform is operated, unless removed by the user or by moderation. Technical anti-abuse data is retained for a limited period (typically up to 30 days).

Processors. The platform is hosted on Lovable Cloud (backed by Supabase) for database and storage, and served via Cloudflare for edge delivery. These processors act under contractual data-processing agreements.

Cookies & local storage. We use only essential local storage (Device ID and your cookie consent choice). We do not use advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies.

Because we do not collect personally identifiable information, we cannot link content to a real-world identity. However, where applicable, you have the right to:

• Access the data associated with your Device ID.
• Request rectification or deletion of content you authored.
• Object to or restrict processing.
• Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

To exercise these rights, contact us at info.youhypothesis@gmail.com from the device that generated the relevant content, so we can verify the request.

YouHypothesis does not guarantee the truthfulness, accuracy, or scientific validity of any theory published on the platform. Users post at their own risk, and the platform is not responsible for any improper use of the information.

Nothing on YouHypothesis constitutes medical, legal, financial, or professional advice.

Because the platform is anonymous and does not require registration, YouHypothesis cannot assist users in claiming legal ownership of a theory before patent offices, courts, or other external venues. The post timestamp serves only as a public chronological reference and does not constitute legal proof of authorship.

If you believe content on YouHypothesis infringes your rights or violates our Content Policy, please send a takedown request to info.youhypothesis@gmail.com including a link to the content, a description of the issue, and your contact information. We will review and respond within a reasonable timeframe in line with EU Digital Services Act (DSA) requirements.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Italy. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the use of YouHypothesis shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Italy, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
