About & Guidelines

// 01

Purpose

YouHypothesis is a space for scientific micro-publishing — for intuitions, theories not yet proven, and academic brainstorming. The goal is to accelerate the circulation of ideas before they become formal papers.

// 02

Language Policy

To ensure global reach and peer-review consistency, all posts must be written in English. As the universal language of science, English allows your theories to be evaluated by the widest possible community.

// 03

Privacy & Identity (Device ID)

No registration is required. Your identity is tied to your Unique Device ID (stored locally in your browser). This ensures total anonymity while preventing spam.

Note: clearing your browser cache or switching devices will reset your identity and access to your published theories.

// 04

License & Legal

All theories are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. Authors retain intellectual property; YouHypothesis receives a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host and distribute the content.

By publishing, you confirm you are at least 16 years old and accept our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

// 05

Community Validation

Each theory can be voted with one of three signals:

  • Plausible — the hypothesis is coherent and worth exploring further.
  • Flawed — the reasoning has gaps but is not dismissed.
  • Debunked — the hypothesis contradicts established evidence.

Negative votes reduce a post's visibility in the feed. This keeps the scientific quality of the stream high — well-reasoned ideas surface, weak ones fade.
